About Beth

I’m a graduate student in the Department of Information and Library Science at IU Bloomington, working on a dual Masters degree in Information and Library Science with a specialization in Digital Libraries.  I also work for IT Training at Indiana University, as an instructor, materials developer, and also as the Collaborative Learning Coordinator.

I’ve been interested in technology since I was in my early teens – I taught myself how to program in BASIC at the age of 12, and at 17 I was creating websites in HTML from scratch.  I’ve since added XML, XSLT, PHP, and Python to my markup/programming language expertise.

In my spare time, I write/maintain The Crafty Nerd, a blog about crafting and nerdiness (and often a combination of the two).
